scrappy drunkard’s path

I recently came across this photo of an older quilt that I’d forgotten about and thought that I might remake it at some point. You can’t see the top row in this photo but it’s there!

I’m not writing a full set of instructions but will include some quilt notes here.

  • Quilt size – 56 x 70
  • Block size is 7 inches finished (7.5 with seam allowances). I used my Accuquilt GO die to make my blocks but you could use templates too.
  • My drawing is in two colors but I’d make it scrappy again and I don’t have fabric amounts – I will keep pulling fabrics until I have enough blocks.
  • You will need 40 blocks with the dark circles and you will need 40 blocks with the light circles for a total of 80 blocks.
  • Lay out the blocks as shown in the drawing below. You may notice I changed the top and bottom row a bit from the original quilt.
