Here’s a simple 9 patch quilt based on a vintage quilt I saw on eBay. Both Mom and I are making this quilt. Hers with borders, mine without.

My quilt is set 9 blocks x 12

Block size is 6 inches finished (6.5 inches with seam allowances)

Quilt size is 54 x 72

We used 2.5 inch strips to piece the 9 patch blocks and background squares for the appliqué hearts were cut 6.5 inches.

Our hearts were cut with the Accuquilt GO Heart die and backed with fusible web. Mom appliqués them by machine using a blanket stitch.

Set blocks 7 across and 10 rows down starting with a 9 patch.

Cut inner border 2 inches

Cut outer border 5 inches
