This queen size version was pieced by Nancy (my aunt) and quilted by me. Instructions include two sizes but to make a quilt this large, you’ll need to add additional blocks.

I have only been quilting a couple of years and have never heard of some of these patterns. So I would like to try them out. I am 70 years old and I am loving quilting. Wish I had learned sooner.

Do you machine quilt them yourself? I am 65 and trying to get into quilting. I actually find it a bit intimidating. Would love to learn machine quilting. I learned hand quilting as a child. We worked on quilting right along side mother and grandmother.

I like this new pattern. I just finished making the Tessalating Pinwheel pattern that you have shown. You are very definitely a designer, maker, crafter, and talented. Thank you for sharing your patterns. I have a question. You said that you might make this quilt for a charity project, but you would leave off the borders, and I wondered why?

Wish I could see Alison’s quilt but her website says private. I was thinking of making the block into a full half log … I mean sew the left side on too. Does that make sense?

Thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern. I am going to try to make it, although I’m a newbie. Any idea of the amount of fabric required for the 56.5 x 70.5 size quilt? I don’t want to run out and not be able to get any more.

Yes – lovely! And the instruction are so adaptable! With this in mind I might try a fussy cut baby quilt using this pattern making the cent a tad bigger. Thanks! Chicago
