Because my quilts are scrappy and made from stash, fabric yardage calculations for most of my quilt instructions are not available and when included, they are estimates only – click here for more information.
While I rarely post fabric amounts needed – the following are UNTESTED yardages per EQ7. They assume that the long border strips are pieced, that the Blue will be used for the binding, and I’d suggest having extra fabric if using the Accuquilt GO to make this quilt.
Blue – 2.5 yards
Green – 1.5 yards
Cream/background fabric – 1.5 yards

Quilt uses the following AccuQuilt GO dies:
- 4 inch quarter square triangle
- 2 inch strip die (sashing)
- 2.5 inch strip die (you could use the 2 inch finished square for the blocks)
- 1.5 inch strip die
Mom added extra blocks for a larger quilt she made for my brother.
You could also make this in RWB as a Quilt of Valor
A 4×5 block setting with borders cut 2.5 inches would give you a quilt that was about 60×74 inches.
Approximate yardages from EQ7 for the top only — UNTESTED! If using the Accuquilt GO to cut quilt, I’d suggest having extra fabric on hand.
Red – 1.5 yards
Blue – 2.25 yards
White – 2.5 yards

Just found your site with thanks to Judy L at Patchwork Times. Wow – such a giving person you are. My question – I do not have an Accuquilt Go and need to know if your sizes are the very same as what I would cut with a rotary cutter. Wasn’t sure so thought I would ask. Thanks from Judy C

I love this pattern and am thinking of giving it a try, however, it would be helpful if your patterns would include the block size, finished or unfinished. Thank you in advance. Sherry G
